![]() ![]() The narrative jumps about so much it's difficult to remember anyone's name, much less become invested in anyone's individual story. Richard Osman then feels the need to introduce us to fifty other characters for, seemingly, no reason whatsoever. ![]() ![]() When a real murder takes place adjacent to the community, the gang decide to throw themselves into investigating it for real, and this is what a majority of the plot is taken up with. It's partially set in a retirement village, and we are quickly introduced to a lot of quirky characters who have organised themselves into a 'Thursday Murder Club' in order to solve (solve? Discuss? Take a really weird illegal interest in?) crimes that happened a long time ago. but I thought that this book was kind of terrible. ![]()
